About Us

           Kundert Motors Inc. was founded in 1944 by William Kundert Sr. At the beginning, Kundert Motors was a gas station and auto repair shop. In 1959 it was incorporated and began selling Volvo’s. The second generation of Kundert’s took over in the late 60’s. Over the next 14 years Kundert Motors also had the Saab, Jenson and BMW franchises to go along with the Volvo franchise although none were retained. In 1973 Kundert Motors added the Peugeot franchise which it kept until the early 90’s before it left the country. In 1985 the 3rd generation of Kundert’s took over. Chevrolet was added in 1986 and Dodge in 1992. Both were sold in 1995. Through all these years the constant was Volvo and in 1997 Kundert Motors purchased Englewood Volvo making it one of the largest Volvo retailers in the country. In addition to the 2 locations for new Volvo sales in Hasbrouck Heights and Englewood a third location for pre-owned sales and new and pre-owned prep was added in 1998 also in Hasbrouck Heights. A fourth generation of Kundert’s is coming into the business now.

           Kundert Volvo is proud to be serving the Hoboken, Jersey City, Nutley, Montclair, Hasbrouck Heights and Paramus areas along with the rest of North Jersey. We strive to deliver excellent service to all of our customers and we pride ourself on the ability to do so. Kundert Volvo is conveniently located on Route 17 in Hasbrouck Heights New Jersey, only minutes from both the Lincoln Tunnel and George Washington Bridge. Route 17 is easily accessible from all parts of Northern and Central New Jersey.
